Here is what Budget Builder by MyKey keeps, and what it does not.

The short version

No account, no sign-in, no ads.
What you type is saved only on your own device. We cannot see it.
We never sell information, and we have none of yours to sell.
You can erase everything with the "Clear my data" button.

Who runs this app

Budget Builder by MyKey is developed and owned by MyKey Consulting Services LLC in Bothell, Washington. "We" and "us" mean MyKey Consulting Services LLC. We are a private company. We are not a bank, a financial advisor, or part of any government agency. You can reach us at hello@mykeyplans.com.

What is saved, and where

Budget Builder by MyKey is part of the MyKey Family Toolkit. It has four tools: My Budget, the Bills Checklist, the Savings Goal, and Money Practice.

Everything you add is saved in the browser on your device. That includes the money coming in and going out that you list, your bills with their amounts and due days, which bills you marked paid, your savings goal and how much you have saved, and your practice score.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no copy. If you clear your browser's data, switch browsers, or use a different device, your work will not be there.

The app does not connect to your money

The app does not connect to a bank, a card, or a benefits account. It cannot see your balance, move money, or pay a bill. The numbers in it are only the ones you type.

Please leave out account numbers

The app never asks for a bank account number, a card number, a password, a PIN, or a Social Security number. Please do not type them into any box. Anyone who uses your device and browser can open what you saved.

What the hosting service sees

The app is hosted by Base44. Like any website, the hosting service can see that a page was opened. It records the page, the time, and a random number that stands for the visit. It does not receive anything you type, your name, or your email address.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking tools.

No AI

This app does not use AI. Nothing you type is read or answered by a computer program.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell information and we do not share it for advertising. Because we collect nothing about you, there is nothing to opt out of, and a browser signal such as Global Privacy Control does not change how the app works.

Erasing your work

Press "Clear my data" on the main screen. It erases everything this app saved on your device. Clearing your browser's data does the same.

Children and students

The app is written for teens and adults learning to manage money, and for the families and teachers who support them. It asks no one's age and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this page

If the app changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
